About Us

During the pandemic, we were watching a lot of Youtube videos from a Kettle Corn guy David found Greg Sweet on Youtube, and David said he wanted to be “The Kettle Corn King.”
During this time the Government was giving out a lot of covid money (Stimulus Checks), so we got a credit card with a low interest rate, and maxed out the credit card with all the recommendations from Greg Sweet.
We had two kids Brayden (10) and Savannah (4) and after the world shut down in Covid and we didn't have school, and one of us being a school teacher, and the kids not in school, we were watching tons of videos and trying to find anything to do.
Once we bought all the stuff we thought “Okay, so now how do we sell it?” We started asking around about events and how to get started and eventually we found Joyce and started doing the craft shows, but they already had a Kettle Corn person, so we asked if they had a lemonade person, and they didn’t, so we bought all of our equipment for our lemonade stand, to get our foot in the door. During this time, with buying all of our equipment, and still figuring out how to sell things, we were buying more than we were selling.Eventually, we wanted to do both so after we did the Craft Show, our first show was at a campsite. After this event, we went to Ledge Brewery, where we frequented a lot, and sold a lot of our “firsts.” We found a lot of friends at Ledge Brewery and with finding friends, we also found a lot of venues and events especially from one of our first friends, The Smokin’ Rednecks.
After this we were only doing this in the summer, one of us being a school teacher and the other being a cook, so we weren’t searching for winter yet.
After those shows we went to Grants and proposed the idea of selling our products there, our first time in retail. They said yes, which led us to go to Ledge Brewery, and other retail stores to put out more of our products.
Selling retail/wholesale you don't make as much as shows, but it’s a great way for people to try your business and get your name out there.
The key to selling is having a good product with great ingredients.

Make sure you check out the market in your area for venues and food trucks before starting! Some states and cities differ for venues, so make sure you look!
See if you can find a restaurant for ordering kitchen supplies and bulk ingredients (lemons, limes, deli cups..) Places like Walmart need to make money off individual rather than bulk, so finding a restaurant that buys in bulk can help you save long term. We've been lucky to have friends with restaurants that help us order in bulk at a discounted rate.
Figure out ways to sell more products you can hand off to the customer. For us, it was freeze dried candy, we make it at home, and have it ready for our shows in mass quantity.

Now, we have people coming to shows just to see us and taking pictures of their kids each year with our lemonade.
We just started posting more on social media and got on TikTok, which just reached 100 followers in 23 days!
We have plans on expanding our social media presence and more ideas coming up soon and we have recently branched out in hiring employees especially for our summer and fall shows.
Recently we found a trailer in Arkansas and then went to go get it the same night. This has made us able to split up events like every Tuesday, this summer, we’re at a craft fair in Schouler Park, in Gorham on Thursdays, and give us the ability to sell at our biggest events by far are the Fryeburg Fair, Lancaster Fair, and the Renaissance Fair.
One of our best things about our business is that our products are so high quality that people keep coming back.
FAQS

We really learned from trial and error, having customers sample new lemonade flavors, kettle corn, and candy.
Another great resource is the internet! There are TONS of communities of different food trucks, no matter what you're selling. Facebook groups, YT videos, anything!
Overall, we'd say the community and lots of hours of taste testing!

It's really a range, but it can be anywhere from 150 to 800 lemons per show. We use 1 lemon per lemonade, 2 limes for limeades, and 1 lemon & 1 lime for our lemon lime, so that's a lot of lemonades!

100% sugar free lemonade is super tart, we can half the sugar, which is very popular with customers with medical issues such as Diabetic/Pre-Diabetic.
Another option we offer is a Liquid Stevia, where we could substitute the granulated sugar for the Liquid Stevia.
